In the coming months we hope to launch a new community news web site. Superior Journal www.superiorwi2.com
The main purpose will be to extend community news coverage throughout Douglas County.
Community news is areas of interest important to the various small geographical regions such as cities, towns and villages. In addition community news is about various organizations or interest that cross these boundaries.
It is my strong belief that news is about what is important to all of us and we hope to serve that need in an open way. To often "professional news organizations" decide what is important and what is not.
Because of the open almost limitless space the internet provides hope we can serve a wider audience. The function of the Superior Journal will be to provide a structure for presenting that is easy to navigate for the reader, is open and free of sign-up screens, is open to receiving all community content.
Articles and stories submitted will have to follow some guidelines of course. We will be working on creating those guidelines in the coming months.
